Ivan Tolstoy was born 1958 in Leningrad a relative of Russianīs classic novelist Leo Tolstoy. After his studies of Russian Literature he teached as a professor at several public and private Russian universities. He also is the author of the bibliographical dictionary "Russian writers in Exile". Since 20 years he is a journalist working for Radio Liberty. Ivan Tolstoy lives in Prague.
