Lviv is rocked by a series of gruesome murders. The victims are always women who are found with their hearts and eyes missing. The murderer, an enigmatic psychopath, leaves no clues at all and so three people get involved in his dangerous game in order to track him down; a policeman, a private detective and the young bookkeeper Nina. Forced to work together, it is the Italian sculptor Dario, having recently opened an exhibition of wooden sculptures, who becomes their main suspect. The gloomy Gothic setting of autumnal Lviv becomes the backdrop for a battle between good and evil in which no-one knows who the hunter and the hunted are anymore.
